Shagay

A posh getaway at Shagay.

The morning turned out calm and sporty, a minor breakdown became thernreason for a quick wheel change and life became more glamorous and interesting. The admiring looks of drivers at Sasha's glamorous spare wheel gave ourrntrip a special flair. We got to Shagay without any particular adventures, and after stocking up on beer and bread in Salyan we set off for some action. Oddly enough, the day turned out very warm, we had to strip down to our T-shirts. The water in the collector canal turned out to be murky, which of course ruled out any spearfishing. We quickly put the spinning rods together and started spinning with spoons. The spoons brought no result, so right away we cast the spinning rods into Shagay itself, but disappointment awaited us there too. After wandering a bitrnaround the nearby collector canals, I found good underwater visibility. Sasha, without thinking twice, ndecided to hunt, while I had serious doubts about there being any fish in that particular nearby collector canal, and unfortunately Sasha's doubts were confirmed, there's no fish there!!!! But there were plenty of snakes ( after all, snakes sometimes live in these promising little pits )

Even though nothing was biting, the getaway still turned out especially "posh", we successfully carried out the testing of a collapsiblernbarbecue grill. The grill and, accordingly, the kebab lived up to our expectations (even though somebody oversalted it). The one who really had a blast on this trip was Pasha aka Nemo, I'd only ever seen such an assortment of spinning lures on store shelves. Later Shuravi joined us. His active fishing methods proved that there's no fish there!!!!

PS Although basically the hunt was a flop ( I didn't even change into my gear) the getaway was still a great success, and through the joint efforts of Nemo, Vadim and Alex it wasrnproven that Nature.az forum members are capable of actively having fun together
