Riga

From May 20-23 I managed to fly to Riga (Latvia) on some personal business. The first two days I took care of my business, and on Saturday and Sunday I managed to have a really good rest. On Saturday morning I managed to visit the Batiskaf store, which specializes in spearfishing gear and diving equipment. Prices are naturally cheaper than ours, I happened to catch a promo (that's what they call a week of discounts on certain items) and bought myself a 5 mm Cressi diving suit at a really low price, and for my 3-year-old son I bought a special 1 mm Bare swimsuit with special padding on the chest so he doesn't sink, for 20 euros, a really practical suit that keeps a kid from getting cold in the water. I bought a couple of faceted spear tips for my pneumatic gun at 11 euros each with two long flopper barbs. Talked with the sales staff, they had just finished the first round of the Latvian Cup, looked at photos from the competition, and I was very happy both with what I bought and with the service. From there I went to buy gifts for my fishing buddies, bought them a couple of wobblers for pike fishing, the fishing stores also have a really wide range of products and they stock both cheap Chinese stuff (which comes with a 1-year warranty if you have the receipt) and products from brands like Rapala. Prices with the discounts are really low. After shopping I headed to Sigulda to see Latvia's main resort center after Jurmala, really beautiful, walked around the castle, took some photos, the nature there is of course amazing, the whole town is in greenery, the streets smell of greenery, and the town center smells of a delicate coffee aroma. I was really happy both with my trip and with my purchases for my favorite hobby.
