Shabran
A trip to Shabran, Rahimli, Chandahar. For the weekend we decided to finally get out and test my new car in the field. We spent a long time choosing the route. We decided to go scouting new places. The scouting expedition was three anglers and one spearfisher. We decided to check out the new reservoir in Davachi built up in the mountains. The spearfisher's bold imagination pictured a blue lake teeming with dumb, fat fish ))). We left at 5 in the morning, after the Saray checkpoint we ran into thick fog, visibility about 4-5 meters, so of course our speed dropped a lot. (we all immediately remembered Hedgehog in the Fog) We stopped in Davachi and took a guide on board the new car, who on the way painted a colorful picture of the fishing and hunting opportunities at the reservoir. And so we're driving into the mountains, climbing a little we got out of the fog into the sun with fog below, basically gorgeous. We got to the spot in half an hour, the road further on was blocked and we had to stop not where our guide Elshad wanted to take us. Anyway the place is beautiful, mountains everywhere, but the lake was murky, small rings showed there were fish but diving there was just not realistic. We picked up the float rods. Baited with worms, dough and bread and cast, the depth near the bank was decent, a bit over 2 meters. We also cast a spinning rod. Sat for 2 hours but caught nothing, twice there was a bite but apparently it was small fry. Our specialist in small fish ))) Uncle Misha never managed to land a single fish. We decided to move on to Rahimli. Dropped the guide off at home and drove to Rahimli, on the way a strong wind picked up. We got to Rahimli, drove into the village, found a lake near a farm that looked like a swamp. Cast the rods, sat for a while, nothing was biting, so the classic vodka fishing started right away ))) From a spearfisher's point of view you could dive, underwater visibility a meter to a meter and a half, but I didn't risk it, there was a really strong hurricane-force wind and the waves were cutting visibility a lot. That fishing ended in failure too. We decided to go to Chandahar, IMHO we really didn't want to be left with no fish at all. Mikhail's relatives immediately supplied us with fish in quantities enough to go home with, for which a big thank you to them!!! For myself I decided not to go to Rahimli again, maybe it's still too early, maybe we were in the wrong place, but I didn't like it, better somewhere down south. The reservoir in Davachi is not a bad place, maybe I'll go there again sometime, maybe it was too early.
PS
The fish from Chandahar is really tasty !!!!
