Pirsaat

We headed out to Pirsaat on Friday evening, by around 9 we were on the shore, naturally nobody took us out to the reefs. Early in the morning we dashed out to the reefs ( 2 km from shore) . My buddy cast his spinning rod, and me, I started waiting for the sun since it was foggy. By around eleven the sun came out, I got ready and got into the channel between the reefs, at first just decided to swim around and check out the spots. Along the way I shot a couple of mullet. Then I took a big flathead mullet, nearly 2 kilos. Decided to swim across the shallows to the other side, suddenly I see a log lying on the bottom and the depth is a meter max. I look, no damn it, it's a pike (and honestly it was the first time I'd ever seen one, not counting the market) it rose from the bottom so self-importantly and swims off, well I think that's it, your swimming's over, shot ( and after small mullet it's hard to miss a monster like that) it started spinning, basically got tangled up in the line, the fish stringer ( first time I'd used one, I used to swim with a keep net) went missing somewhere, anyway I took off my fins, climbed out onto the shore and started celebrating there. So folks, congrats to me on my first pike!!!!!!!!! By the way my buddy caught a fair bit too, I'll tell you. And that pike was full of roe, so congrats to me on a roe-laden pike!!! Hooray comrades Hooray!!!!!!!!!!!!
