Madison, USA - Part 1

Right now I'm in America, in the city of Madison, Wisconsin. The city is small and quiet. There are several lakes and rivers around. In a word, paradise for a fisherman. Since I've got loads of time here, I decided not to just sit around, because with lakes as magnificent as Mendotta and Monona around, it's a sin to sit idle. But how do you go fishing when all your tackle is left at home in Baku? I found out where they sell tackle here. They told me you can find it at a reasonable price at Wall-Mart. I went into Wall-Mart and got a rod for 25 dollars from Shekspeare Ugly Stick. I'll tell you, though, that in Baku you can't get a carbon rod with a cork handle for 25 dollars. Along with the rod I also got ready-made rigs, a float, very handy to use, and ready-made stoppers for adjusting the depth, plus a couple of other useful things. But buying the rod isn't the end of it. I also had to buy a fishing license, which is normal practice in any civilized country. I paid 25 dollars for 4 days and bought my license. The next day I took a taxi and went for bait. At one shop they told me they didn't have any bait at the moment. And they told me where I could get some. Since the cab driver waited for me at my request, we went to another address. It was an ordinary liquor store that also sold bait on the side. I got one small can of maggots and 25 worms, paying 4 dollars for everything.
