First the frying pan heats up, then we add oil, the oil sizzles and waits for juicy pieces of fish....... My latest trip for fish started after noon, around 2 or so. Having gathered everything I needed for a productive hunt, I set off. The wind that day was southerly, 2-3 meters per second, water temperature 16 degrees, visibility on the sandy bottom 2-3 meters, deeper out 3-5 meters. Fish were everywhere, but not big ones, moving in schools, dunno, maybe they'd pulled the nets, I didn't come across any nets. I picked my shots, letting the small fry go, after an hour I took a big one of almost 1.5 kilos, half an hour later two more worthy of a spearfisher's attention. I shot plenty of medium fish too. I hunted with a pneumatic, because the murk kept switching with clear water. The medium fish I took in the clear water, like in the good old days, hanging in the water and shooting the schools passing by. The big ones I took on the sand, they were just grazing away on the sand. I got a huge kick out of the whole thing. Then the wind changed somewhere around 6, I swam for another hour or so and came out onto the shore..... Having cleaned the fish, we cut it into pieces, put it in an enamel basin, season it with salt, turmeric, red pepper. Roll it in flour, and into the good old frying pan it goes. Fry it until golden, and whatever you do, don't overcook it. Lay it out on a platter, sprinkle with fresh green onion and serve. You can have it with narsharab, which makes the taste of the fish more piquant. So that, as they say, is how my fishing trip today ended. Good hunting, everyone!!!!!!!
