Kurdamir, Kura, Garamahmudlu village

I want to thank eldorado847 — it was his report that made me decide to go there. Since nobody from the forum decided to come with me (I get it, it's a workday and all that), I had to go with my mom. So, we set off in the morning at 05.15. By 9.30 we were there. I once heard the saying: God created the World, and the devil created Kurdamir. I fully agree with that. The heat is unbearable. After the Kura flooded, small lakes formed along the edges, and they're full of fish. If you like float fishing but don't like current, this is the place. So, I spent 2 and a half hours there, an hour and a half of which I was fishing, and half an hour looking for interesting spots. The result: 31 little carp (or maybe common carp, I'm not really sure), a bit bigger than a palm. I also tried my luck on the Kura with a spinning rod. Caught 1 small catfish, about 25cm. Let it go.

A few words about the village. The locals are very hospitable and friendly. A tractor driver, seeing me trying to find a place to park on the dam, which only one car can fit on at a time, drove right over and helped by making the slope down from the path next to the dam gentler, so I was able to drive down there and leave the car without getting in anyone's way. The locals flat out refused to let me go until I'd had lunch with them. I had to resort to all sorts of tricks so as not to put them out and sneak off :).

Maybe some people think that spending 8 hours on the road in total and only 2.5 hours fishing is silly and ridiculous, but I'm glad I made the trip, and my impressions are very positive.
