Floods on the Kura have left lakes around the river (oxbow lakes). Right now these lakes hold a huge stock of fish. Because of the heat the lakes are drying up, the water is receding, and the locals drain the small lakes and collect the fish in barrels...people were scooping the fish up with colanders, with their bare hands...
I'd say this place is for truly impatient anglers...you can't stand still for even a minute...
I was fishing with worms...float rod and spinning rod...

Geographically the area is hot and dry continental (as you know). You need to bring plenty of water. The locals are friendly and hospitable. If you need help they'll do it with all their heart.
If you have a boat, I'd recommend crossing to the Imishli side of the Kura. The place the locals call "the other side" is richer in bigger fish.

Не в обиду автору отчета! Если вы поймали такую маленькую рыбку, отпустите ее и через 1-2 года она вырастет до товарного размера, а так вы погубили 30-40 килограмм рыбы...
bu baliqlari suyu quruyan golden tutmusham, onsuzda onlarin hech bir shansi yox idi yaxshamaga. A soldan ikinchi shekilde olanlar kur chayinin ozunden. Soz verirem, Shark gelen defe nezere alacam.
Он не погубил,он ее спас.Хотя этим должны заниматься соответствующие органы(рыбнадзор,экологи).Спас и сьел.Эти места образуются после схода воды,по моему и мелкоты там много.70% процентов рыбешки погибает,если нет прохода в реку.Так что Nus olsun!
карась растет очень медленно, так что товарный вид будет лет через 20 ))).,,
