Davachi, Rahimli village

And here's the report I promised. While on holiday in Nabran I managed to get out to the lake twice. The first time I caught 19 rudd in an hour and a half, a few of them really tiny. Couldn't stay any longer - got caught in heavy rain. But once I figured out it's better to fish for them not with bread dough rolled into a ball (you get really small fish on that) but with bread crust, I stopped by the lake again on the way back to Baku from Nabran and in 1 hour caught 14 decent rudd (by decent I mean palm-sized, since according to the locals you can only catch bigger ones there with nets). And, as always, I enjoyed it hugely.
One more thing. In Nabran I was advised to drop by the village of Nizovaya in Khachmaz. That's where the Gudyalchay river flows into the sea. They say it's full of fish - carp, pike, and something else they listed, don't remember. I managed to get there too. The river is pretty, around 8-10 meters wide, but very muddy. Probably there was rain in the mountains. Along the river there are small trees and bushes. I.e. you can even go with the family, have a picnic and do some fishing. I didn't actually get to fish myself though - only got there by 10 in the evening just to find the spot, but I'll definitely go there sometime to scout it out.
