Good day everyone!Since my buddy and comrade-in-arms Igor staged a ,,genocide" of Caspian fish on Saturday,I had to go alone on Sunday to my beloved Shikhovo.In the morning there was a NW wind,air temperature was 29 -30,water 28-29,humidity moderate.I got there at 11-00,good thing it's not far from home.The first hour in the water showed there were fish around,visibility was 1,5 - 2 meters,I hunted at the ,,Cross" along the ridges,at first I shot with a single-prong,but realizing that in water like this you have to be a ,,sniper" or at the very least a ,,cowboy from the West"I switched to a three-prong.There were tons of small fry,I picked off the medium mullet.Then I decided to try out a mask with a split nose bridge,I had it lying around as a spare,I don't know,maybe it's a matter of habit.But after 15 minutes of swimming,I literally went ,,cross-eyed"(I myself use the so-called ,Aquanaut TV")at the end of the 2nd hour of this ,,Merlaison ballet"the wind switched to the south,and it blew in so much grass from the sea that it looked like a pasture for cattle.Since our Kefulya didn't consider herself a cow,she went out to sea to cleaner water.But hunting on the ridges,let me tell you,is something else.You feel like Cousteau, conqueror of the sea.I swam along the bottom of the ridge,surfacing from time to time at the top of the ridge.In visibility like this it's the best hunting method,the fish either move along the ridges,or feed on them.Ambush works well too,you lie on the ridge and shoot the fish when it passes below,or parallel to the hunter(just like at a shooting gallery),and also in water like this the gun should be medium-pumped,or else the three-prong cuts the fish in half.Result -11 medium mullet,in 1.5 hours of hunting.Didn't weigh the fish,by eye 500 -700 grams each.Good hunting to you all, gentlemen Spearfishers!!!!!
