Sabirabad, drainage canals

The three of us went there in winter - we just really wanted to go fishing :) The places there are really beautiful of course, you drive past the spot where the Kura merges with the Araz. Naturally nothing good came of it except adventures for our b... Unfortunately at that time the locals were "fishing" the canals with a tractor battery, and as soon as we found that out it became clear why there was no fish. None at all. :( Otherwise, going by what a good friend of mine who's from those parts says, the canals are teeming with pike, carp, roach and other freshwater fish. By some miracle we didn't slide into the canal and sink the car - luckily the local kids agreed to help us and somehow, all pulling together, they dragged us out... Yeah... Anyway, check out the photos and don't do what we did :)
