foot of Mount Babadag
A buddy invited me on a trip to the foot of Mount "Babadag". The trip was organized by members of the bak.az club. The club members set off on Saturday in five cars and stopped for the night in Lahij. We, me and my buddy in his car, left on Sunday morning at 6, and by 9 we'd already joined the group. To find the "road" (in quotes, because there's no road there) we used GPS navigators and OZI maps. I'll say right away - we didn't make it to the foot because some of the SUVs broke down. Almost the whole way ran along a huge river, or rather what was left of it - river rocks, thanks to which a 100-meter stretch took 10-15 minutes or even more. The Chevrolet Blazer showed excellent performance, bouncing over the rocks as if it had never heard of such a thing as "brakes". The old two-door Land Cruiser also did great, though at the last moment its rear wheel came off - the studs broke (jumped around too much). But thanks to the team pulling together we still managed to get the car back "on its feet". The Nissan Pathfinder, Nissan Patrol and Mitsubishi Pajero were just as good off-road. The brand-new Land Cruiser 200 had a hard time - it turned out to be too heavy.
All in all, unforgettable impressions. For anyone who wants to either test or buy an SUV, this is the place. Steep climbs, mud, rocks, river. It did shake us up pretty thoroughly though.

На лошадях можно. Можно и на машине. Просто в связи с поломкой обоих ланд круизеров вынуждены были вернуться. Как сказал один из местных чобанов: "Сюда и шестерка приедет, а вот дальше дороги нет". Мы обалдели от его слов.
А не получилось, к сожалению... Ничего, вернусь из командировки, ещё один оффроад замутим! ))
