Hello dear readers and everyone who just likes to look at the photos after our reports. Well, I'll start with the fact that the day was ruined after my partner called and told me the boss was calling us in to work, so I had to cancel all my spearfishing plans and go there cursing everything and everyone... Anyway, we finished around 3 o'clock, and I decided that since I was ready and had my gear with me, I'd head out there even if I didn't shoot anything. So I'd just got to the spot, got out of the car, put my head in the water, and I see it's murky, well, I think, that's it, time to go home, there's no time left for another spot. I stood there, thought about it, and figured no, nothing ventured, nothing gained, and decided to swim out. After swimming about 30 meters I see the visibility is already 2-3 meters, well, I think, just right. Long story short, bam, right under me on a rock there's a mullet swimming, and I think, that's it, a miss here is unforgivable, shot and a clean hit in the spine. So I swim up, pull it toward me, and it comes off the spear, the flopper didn't open. So I go after it and it goes away from me, and I was shooting a band gun, so loading takes a bit longer than with a pneumatic. Anyway, both eyes are on it and my hands are trying to pull the rubber back on their own, fins kicking nonstop. Somehow I loaded it, second shot, and I got the fish. I swim on and see a little school of kutum, about 10 of them, and I think, damn, they don't see me, I'm about to take one down, but no such luck. As soon as I stretched out the gun they bolted sooo fast that I even thought it was a hallucination and not fish. Anyway, I swam on and suddenly I see something very wide between the rocks, it seemed like halibut had shown up in the Caspian, but then I realized nooo, it's a good crucian carp. Aim, shot, dead on target, it weighed in at 2 kilos. So after taking it there were a few more chances, but mostly kutum. There were no more mullet at all, and on the way back in the murk I saw a second one, dove, swam up, and the shot left it no chance, it was about 500 grams.
