Hi everyone! Let me tell you guys about our Sunday adventures. So we decided to go fishing and scout out some spots. At first the plan was to go spearfishing, but the question was where. We decided to head toward Shikhov and ZGO, but everywhere the water was murky and windy, plus there's that hundred-kilometer Great Wall of China made of fences that cut people off from the sea. So we changed our minds and set off for Alat, since some of us were float fishermen and spinning guys too. When we got to the fishing spot we saw a river, and it seemed strange that there was a river there at all. Turns out, as the locals told us, it's a river that dries up, and in a month there'll hardly be any water. The crappiest part is that there were probably about 100 nets in that river, I mean a net every 20 meters or so, so we found a little gap between the nets and decided to fish there. But of course with no result. The worst thing is that as soon as any puddle appears, nets show up there right away, and the poachers show up before the fish do. I don't understand why nobody keeps an eye on what they're doing. Shame I didn't take pictures of the places we were at. On top of nets all along the canal, out in the sea they block the entire passage for fish to the fresh water flowing from the canal into the sea. I get that the locals are hungry and need to eat, but everyone shouldn't have to suffer because of the locals! I'm sure the same thing is going on at every canal and nobody is putting a stop to this madness. I really ask the higher authorities to carry out large-scale operations on this, and not just one raid, but to actually take it under their control. Let even those who want to fish with a rod follow some rules, and then there'll be loads of fish in the Caspian, and the same locals will be able to catch their fish without nets. All it takes is 5 years of strict inspection of all rivers and canals flowing into the sea. I'm just sure that if nobody does anything about this, in 5 years we'll only be seeing fishing on TV. And we'll be going fishing in Kazakhstan at best....Ok. Good luck everyone, and I hope someone's conscience kicks in soon and the relevant authorities get on this
