The UN will help Azerbaijan fight the Moroccan locust

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN will help Azerbaijan fight the Moroccan locust on the border with Georgia.
As the head of the State Phytosanitary Control Service under the Ministry of Agriculture, Mammadali Dunyamaliyev, reported, at the beginning of the year the Moroccan locust caused great damage to Azerbaijan's sown areas. Since Georgia is not taking measures to combat the pests, the problem remains unresolved.
M.Dunyamaliyev reported that Azerbaijan has raised with international organisations the issue of the disruption of the phytosanitary situation in the territories occupied by Armenia.
