One of the peaks of the Greater Caucasus named after the President of Azerbaijan

The name of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has been given to an unnamed peak in the Shahdag massif of the Greater Caucasus, according to a statement by the Azerbaijan Air and Extreme Sports Federation.

The ascent of the peak, four thousand 42 metres high, was made on April 5-7 by a group of Federation members.

A bronze pyramid-shaped plaque 60 centimetres high and 70 wide was installed on the summit, engraved with, among other things, the inscription "Ilham zirvesi" ("Ilham Peak")
