No "bird flu" virus detected in Azerbaijan

The results of the "bird flu" monitoring carried out on 12 January by the State Veterinary Service under the Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan have been made public.

According to him, during the monitoring, blood samples and pathogenic materials were taken from 33 wild and 1982 domestic birds. Analysis of the samples did not reveal "bird flu".

"Given the likelihood of the 'bird flu' disease entering Azerbaijan through migratory birds, the SVS is continuing its monitoring, and the next round of monitoring will begin on 16 February," Y. Khanveli stressed.
