Mardakan-Shuvelan beaches are the most polluted

The Caspian Sea Integrated Environmental Monitoring Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources (MENR) of Azerbaijan monitored the beaches and coastal waters of the Caspian during the first 10 days of May.
According to the MENR press service, the monitoring covered areas where treatment facilities are installed.
According to the report, the most polluted were the waters in the settlement of Pirallahi, the waters near the mechanical treatment facility in the Mardakan - Shuvelan area, as well as the waters in the village of Turkan, Pirshagi.
The situation remains most acceptable in the waters of Dubendi.
