Azerbaijan's roads to be brought up to international standards within the next 10 years

The process of bringing Azerbaijan's roads up to international standards will be completed in 2018-2020.
This was reported to APA by Javid Gurbanov, chairman of CJSC "Azeryolservis".
According to him, the total length of roads in Azerbaijan exceeds 30 thousand kilometers. Completing road construction fully and to a high standard requires a great deal of money and time.
J.Gurbanov stated that in 2018-2020 the level of Azerbaijan's roads will approach European standards, and that construction of five highways will be completed by 2013.
Gurbanov noted that, with the exception of part of the bridge over the Azizbekov roundabout, the other bridges under construction in Baku will be put into service this year.
"In addition, numerous underground and overground crossings, including parking areas, will be built in the capital," J.Gurbanov concluded.
