ZGO area

hi to all spearfishers .went to the gobustan area today.in one hour of hunting 5 mullets is my result. could have stayed in longer but you can have too much of a good thing my suit is a 7 so the water for
me isnt cold its even hot.how it went underwater im telling you so get comfy and listen.went in swam about 100 meters not a soul around underwater visibility 2.and 4 meters depending on the spot.swam along the shore.about 6 mullets pop out of the water column i take a snap shot and the leader of the school is on the
spear.swim on nothing there.i go deeper nothing total silence.i go back to shore and along the shore to check out the left side and sloooowwwwlllyyyy things got going.small schools came by 5.6.7.8. fish each picked out the leaders the bigger and fatter ones didnt touch the small fry let them grow up.40 minutes of hunting went by and 5 fish on the stringer. thought and thought and swam into the reeds to take a peek at how things are there swimming nothing there well i think probably too early the carp is still sleeping and then a shadow in the water column and the thought here it is caaarrrrppp.swim up closer not a fish but a monster just standing there.a flathead mullet 3 kilos no less i havent seen a flathead mullet like that in ages.while i was thinking how to take it in the reeds it slipped away but it swam past me all important and proud a meter away i could have taken it i could have but didnt.we've got plenty of time yet .thanks to all fishermen for reading our articles and living through our feelings of spearfishing with us. dive in there once and youre hooked for the rest of your life.and even if you dont shoot any fish at least you got to see the beauty of the underwater world and its so varied.one day spent fishing adds 1 day to your life.going hunting next week ill write a report.these are photos of my hunt today well whether the fish are small or big thats for you to judge.bye everyone.
