Shirvan drainage collectors

Well, as promised, we set off on Saturday at 6.00 (we being Alex.Nemo.Abbas). The weather, as you saw yourselves, was nothing to write home about, but it still didn't spoil our plans. After driving through the whole town of Shirvan, we asked our way (and as everyone knows, asking will get you anywhere) and got to some godforsaken places, where one step left or one step right off the so-called road threatened to have us doing something totally different from what we'd come out to this backwater for. After knocking about from ditch to ditch we never saw any sign of fish, either there was no water in them, or where there was, the local brothers had poured some nasty stuff into it so there'd be none left. In the end, worn out and hungry, we joined up at yet another canal, where once again the local comrades said there were fish. Our tackle was for catfish, and the longer we fished the smaller the hooks we put on. In the end, having caught a SHRIMP on a worm, we opened a bottle of vodka and proudly drank to our first trophy. There was nowhere else to go, so we spent 2-3 hours at this water, the catch being 3 shrimp (taken prisoner) and 3 little fish that looked a lot like kutum (released back into their native element). So we too can proudly say - THE SEASON IS OPEN!
