Shirvan Canal

Greetings to everyone who's sick with fishing.
I just registered, but I've been into fishing for 4 years already.
I want to tell you about our fishing trip - or rather about the season opening. We thought for a long time, went back and forth, and finally decided to go check out the Shirvan Canal, where we'd never been. To be honest - I had been there, once, almost 2 years ago, but that trip can't be called "fishing". I was there with your "humble servant" Sinanju, who recently posted his story about fishing at Dashgil, and who is basically my fishing teacher and mentor. So anyway, that trip to the canal was more of a getting-some-fresh-air trip, to sit around and relax...
But this story isn't about that at all...
March 19, three of us, close friends...
And one more friend - my faithful Opel... Which over its long life (Mashallah!) has seen plenty of off-road and silently puts up with all our antics :).
We went up 5 km from the highway and found a little spot on the canal. Sat down. Got out the tackle. And off we went!!!
The vobla - or rather, to put it correctly - the roach were biting like crazy! On worms. Result - 140 fish between the three of us. We got a great energy boost, ate some kebab whipped up by your storyteller, breathed some fresh air... True, we thought maybe we'd get lucky and see some carp - but no such luck. Roach and nothing else! But we got home tired and inspired by the trip, and not empty-handed either!
Tasty fish, though! Sorry of course - I'm teasing you, but it'd be a real sin not to mention it...
So anyway, we were so inspired that we decided to go back there again the next Saturday.
Which is basically what we did...
But that's the subject of another report!
