decided to go for a swim yesterday and at the same time test my 5mm in the cold.Anyway I drove out in the morning at 11 to the trestle pier ,changed, drank a glass of hot tea and dived into the water ,I'm swimming and thinking what the ......... am I doing here ,I'll swim another 20 minutes and that's it I'll get out and go home ,it doesn't seem cold I'm happy with the wetsuit which is what needed proving when suddenly like a ghost out of the fog a huge mullet swims out at me I aim I pull the trigger ---oops safety's on while I was taking it off the safety the fish cheerfully waved its tail at me and swam off.but I'd already got hooked,now I'm thinking in the suit it's definitely not cold ,more like even warm.and if I shoot another fish it'll be hot .In short with hope in my .... I carried on swimming.By the way about the water water temp. roughly 8-10 degrees visibility 1-3 in places 3-5m.I'm swimming and thinking about the f.....ing safety and suddenly another fish a shot and it's already on the stringer .I swim on and in my soul I remembered Aga's words about cosmic emptiness and silence ,when there's no fish I keep calming myself down that swimming is good for you ,that the body gets hardened and all the other nonsense.,Suddenly I hear some kind of rumble I lift my head and see an MCS vehicle standing there people got out of it , one in front the rest behind, and the one in front shouts to the others--- ə yox diridi ölməyib.At first I thought why would they think that ,then I remembered that over the suit I'd put on pants and a T-shirt and from the outside I look like a drowned man.Anyway what a laugh.I waved to them and they drove off.So anyway I swim on I look and another mullet of a good size is swimming towards me it gradually comes closer and closer but just won't turn sideways ,waiting for the moment --shot to the head the shaft shot past barely barely grazing the head ,the fish in surprise swam straight at me ,without thinking twice I let go of the speargun and with both hands like a kid I grab the fish and want to press it to my chest with all my strength)))like I used to catch fish with my bare hands back when I was young)))but no such luck.Anyway I shot 3 mullets yesterday total 2kg240 grams.All in all spent a great day and had a good laugh when I remembered it all afterwards.Hope I didn't bore you with my story.Good hunting and fishing to everyone I'll post the pics a bit later.
