Near Bibiheybat, then the lake near Binagadi settlement

By 9 in the morning I was already near Bibiheybat (3 kilometers from Shikhov). Almost everyone (about 25 people) was fishing with spinning rods. The fishermen said nothing was biting. Just one guy had pulled out a kutum there early in the morning (200-300g). I sat there till 11:30, didn't catch anything except gobies. Tried both bread and shrimp. Didn't feel like sitting there till evening waiting for a bite, so I decided to head to Binagadi lake. Last year in June I caught 22 crucian carp there bigger than my palm. Though in August they were smaller. There was a strong wind at the lake. Because of the wind I couldn't sit where I always fish. Moved to the north side of the lake. There were 5-6 fishermen sitting there. All they had was small fry (crucians the size of a finger), and only 5-6 of those. Bites were rare and weak. The fishermen said they only bite on small bits of bread. I even tried an anise oil flavoring. In half an hour I caught one palm-sized and 3-4 finger-sized. I don't get how people take such tiddlers home. They'll just stay stuck on the bottom of the frying pan. I really wanted to eat fish today. Anyway, I came home empty-handed and in a bad mood. When I got back I saw they were selling fish in the yard (live carp). Bought a couple :) and home I went. So that was today's fishing trip, which I set out on with such high hopes.
