Krasin Power Plant and the Shikhovo Spring

Continuing my tradition of scouting casts ...

yesterday I was at the Krasin power plant (my old workplace) there used to be a wooden pier there... anyway there's a new director and they don't let anyone in at all, and the water there was always dirtier than at "Pototsky" anyway... drove over to the other side of the bay (on the right-hand side from the Vanastrua plant) they've cleaned up the rigs and removed the pipes (probably because of the National Flag they're going to raise!) anyway it's a paradise for spinning and bottom anglers there.. unless of course they start chasing people off there too.. a cop was basically sleeping in his car right by the shore.

Then I drove to the "spring"! guys are standing there saying that yesterday they supposedly caught kutum.. on SHRIMP! I unpacked my gear too just to join in.. fished with regular meat and caught gobies!!! the cat was happy! Result of the trip: a few gobies and 6-7 hooks lost! lots of snags... and a crosswind on top of that! Then this opening day of my little season was washed down in a bar with vodka and beer!! that's all folks!!!
