The season is open!!! Hooray. On the morning of the 8th we stocked up on everything you're supposed to and took off. On the way we swung by Ələt to pick up Salman and then headed to the base. Turned out we were the first ones in this year. Because of that, going out to sea got delayed by exactly as long as it took to clean last year's dirt, weeds, etc. off the boat, mount the motor and start it up for the first time.

We landed when it was already daytime. As usual, the first thing we did was get the bed sorted out, inside and out. And of course the traditional toast to the arrival and to a successful flight from here on)). Long story short, we cast out well after lunch. The wind was moderate, from the NNW. All the sinkers held fine without anchors. On every rod the line was taut, no slack at all. To Our great surprise the first weak little bite showed there were gobies!! Folks!! - the gobies aren't sleeping anymore and have come in to shore. Can't say they were stripping the bait nonstop, but it wasn't like last year. This year that wasn't the only thing that was different from last year. The first little kutum was caught on the 8th, not the 9th!) Glasses full of joy!).

Long story short, from the 8th to the 10th of March we caught 10 kutum and a sea of good vibes!
