Artyom - the trestle

Went to artyom in the evening. really interesting spot. and if you've got patience you can drive out 9-10 km from shore.. the depth is pretty decent.. from 5 to 10 pm only gobies were biting.. some fairly big ones too.. but is that what we went there for? corn, bread, worm, shrimp.. even artificial baits.. the gobies ate everything.. we caught a bucket of gobies.. gave them to some guy. closer to night fishermen started showing up.. serious ones.. with 10-20 rods each. they said we'd been wasting our time.. here you only fish at night.. and since we weren't planning to stay overnight, we decided to sit until something bit and then go.. night came.. cast.. and a kutum hit right away.. medium one.. 600 grams.. the guys said right now there'll only be ones like that.. like stay at least till 2 or 3.. then we'd catch decent ones.. which wasn't in our plans at all.. plus almost all our tackle got torn off.. 8 leaders snapped.. tons of scrap metal underwater.. be careful.. though if you don't cast far and fish straight down, you won't get snagged.. and fishing straight down there is just the thing.. especially since there's no point casting far anyway.. anyway, we packed up and left.. the guys were indignantly asking where we were going, the bite was only just starting.. but we'll most likely go back there on friday.. this time to stay the night.. and the spot is just awesome.. getting there is a problem though..
